The site, which was a railway depot in the 1920s, is currently home to The Axis, a 1970s office building in a key city centre location.

Detailed planning permission was secured for One Axis Square in 2017, quickly followed by outline planning permission for the wider development.

More recently, Birmingham City Council resolved to grant use of Compulsory Purchase powers to unlock the scheme, with work set to start in 2019.

Our approved development will unlock this currently constrained site, connecting with nearby locations such as Paradise Circus, Arena Central, Centenary Square and Grand Central/New Street Station.
